This week has been great! On Monday night, our ward got together as a whole group for Family Home Evening and we all carpooled to get to Lowe's Extreme Air Sports. It's basically a gigantic room filled with trampolines, trapezes, rock walls, basketball hoops, and foam pits. We spent an hour and a half there and it was super fun! I went on a high trapeze from which I fell into a foam pit, which was awesome.
Here I am with two of my friends, Amber and Meredith (you can see the pits full of foam cubes in the background):
That night at midnight, Amelia and I registered for our classes for winter semester. It turned out really well, as I got into all of the classes I wanted and was happy with my schedule. However, I later looked up my Spanish teacher (once the name was posted) and found that she didn't get very good reviews. So I am currently in the process of switching to a new professor. But other than that, registration went quite smoothly! The classes I am signed up for are Writing 150, Physical Science 100, World Civilization to 1500, Spanish 321, Elementary Skills and Activities, and Book of Mormon.
The rest of the week was pretty much just my normal schedule, nothing too exciting. On Thursday, we were given special visiting hours for Halloween, so that boys could trick-or-treat in the girls' halls and vice versa. I went with some friends to trick-or-treat, dressed as Mary had a little lamb.
On Friday night, they had Despicable Me 2 at the Varsity Theater in the Wilkinson Center for $1, so Amelia and I went to the 9:00 pm showing. It is an absolutely adorable movie!
On Saturday, we slept in, ate breakfast/lunch, and then went to the Provo Towne Center mall. I've noticed lots of cute styles here at BYU, and I've been wanting to buy a maxi skirt, ankle boots, a scarf, and some new jeans, since the Cannon Center is definitely making me gain weight and I have some trouble getting my jeans on in the morning. Anyway, it was a very successful shopping trip and I found everything I wanted! That night, we went to the basketball game at 7 with two other girls, Hannah and Jess. I was really bummed because we were on the end of a row in the student section and I was really hoping to take a picture with Cosmo, but he didn't come up to where we were. Maybe next time! :)
I know this picture is kind of horrible and at a weird angle, but here we are at the game (me, Amelia, Hannah, and Jess):
This morning, I went to church and hall meeting, and tonight there's a fireside and ward prayer! It should be a good afternoon. I love you all! :)

so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love your costume - very creative! I sing that song to Mary all the time. :) Anyway, I'm glad you're registered for classes and I hope you can get in with a better Spanish teacher. I'm glad you could go to the mall...I'm excited to see your new things! Thanks for the updates! Sending love your way from West Virginia...
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on thinking of a title for my post, I never know what to come up with! That's why lots of mine are called "catch up" ha ha! Love the Mary costume! That definitely is a little lamb :) And thanks for the style tips. I also am loving scarfs and any boots this time of year. If only Clark loved that I love it as much as I do!
ReplyDeleteUm yea . . . that last comment wasn't Clark.
ReplyDeleteHaha I figured that comment wasn't Clark, even though I know he just adores scarfs and boots ;)
ReplyDeletewhat a great week! love your Halloween costume and i'm glad you liked Despicable Me 2 as much as i did :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you went shopping for some fall fashion. Isn't this the best season? I love seeing all the jackets, cardigans, scarves, and boots out. It just makes everyone look so attractive.
ReplyDeleteThe trapeze and foam pit sound so fun! At Project Graduation, I did that trampoline where you wear a Velcro suit and jump up to get stuck on a Velcro wall. Did you ever do that? I love stuff like that.
Have a great week!
Your costume is adorable! Thanks for putting the pictures up :) The Extreme Air Sports sounds super fun! Good to hear about registration - I hated waiting up till midnight to try to get the classes I wanted. Haha, but I think it's a rite of passage we all endure. Finally, I'm glad you went shopping! You've always had cute style, and some of the best times (along with watching chic flics with other gals) are shopping trips with other gals :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and your title is great!! Haha, you made me laugh :)
