I'm finally back to blogging! Of course, by now, everyone has probably stopped reading my blog. Oh well.
However, after spending a wonderful summer in Laramie, I am now back in Provo and have finished one week of school! I'm taking Missionary Preparation, Basic Vocal Skills, World Civilization from 1500, Foundations of Education, Foundations of Multicultural Education, and Foundations of Literacy Development. I think all of my classes will be good, but then again, it is pretty early to tell for sure.
I really like my apartment. Amelia, Meredith, and I live together, and a fourth girl just moved in last night. It is a very charming little place, and it's actually been fun to be able to make food for myself instead of just eating at a cafeteria. Here are some pictures of it!
On Friday, Ben came to visit me. He arrived at around 8:30, and we went to get some authentic tacos al pastor and then went to a Comedy Sportz improv comedy show. The next day, I met him in Salt Lake, where he was staying in a hotel with his brother. We walked around, looking for a place to eat and watching all of the people who came for Comiccon. Then we drove to Provo, where we spent a while having fun at the nickel arcade, called Nickel City. After that, we stopped by my apartment, and then hiked Bridal Veil Falls. It was only a 1/2 mile hike round trip and it was beautiful! We took many "selfies" while we were there. :)
Afterwards, we cooked ourselves some delicious enchiladas and then bought 12 Krispy Kreme donuts and ate them in a beautiful park nearby. This morning, we both went to my new ward together, which was a first for both of us. People seem very nice and I'm excited to get to know everybody better. After church, we ate lunch and then he headed back to Laramie. It was a very fun weekend and I'm grateful he made the drive to Provo so we could spend time together.
I hope everyone had a wonderful week!
Amy, I love the pictures of your place! It looks fantastic! And I was so happy to see pictures of you and Ben. I now have a face to put with his name. :) I love you very much! And keep the posts coming -- I definitely still read this blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun weekend! Thanks for posting the great photos. Now I can imagine what your life is like. I sure love you!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thanks for the post! Your place looks cute. I'm glad Ben was able to come visit you, too, and I'm grateful for the pictures so I can put a face to the name. Welcome back to BYU - sounds like you have some good classes, Amy. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed this post, but I'm glad I caught it tonight. Your apartment looks so nice . . . real tile? You're living luxuriously! You and Ben look great! He must like you a little to drive 6 hours to see you ;) And I do miss Krispy Kremes. I'm glad you got to enjoy that bit of heaven!
